Another grandiose and visual feat (in other words WATCH THIS) from Yoann Lemoine AKA Woodkid, for the single of his new Run Boy Run EP. Last years “Iron” was one of my absolute favorite tracks of the year, and the stunning video won The Sound and The Furry’s Favorite Video of 2011. Woodkid’s first full-length The Golden Age is due out in the fall.
Yoann Lemoine AKA Woodkid. The Run Boy Run EP, the follow-up to last year’s Iron EP, is out out this week - and his highly anticipated full-length The Golden Age arrives this fall!
Louis Abbott of Admiral Fallow. Their upcoming new album Tree Bursts In Snow drops on 5/22 on Nettwerk Records, and it promises to be a fantastic follow-up to their 2010 album Boots Met My Face.
J. Tillman of Father John Misty and formerly of Fleet Foxes. His debut under the Father John Misty moniker has gathered a lot of steam the past few months due to a couple fantastic and edgy videos (“Hollywood Forever Cemetary Sings” and “Nancy From Now On”), and it is finally out TODAY (5/1) on Sub Pop Records! Stream the entire album below and be sure to grab it from your favorite digital/physical retailer asap.
Daughn Gibson. His new album All Hell dropped earlier this month and is out now on White Denim Records. It’s one of the most unusual, striking and memorable debuts I’ve heard in a long time, which is why it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Check out “In The Beginning” below, then make sure All Hell is on your “must buy” list:
Bryan Treitler AKA Bryan Scary. His brand new album Daffy’s Elixer is out TOMORROW (4/24) on Paper Garden Records, and it is perhaps the most ambitiously madcap psych-pop albums you will hear all year.
